SnackTime With Jen— Pie Crust Cookies, September 20th

Welcome to my newest feature, SnackTime With Jen. This midweek morsel is a small taste of something fun. Topics range from food (of course) to fashion, amusing little discoveries both locally and abroad, and a variety of interesting intel too tempting not to share. So let’s get snacking…

If you’ve never heard of Janie’s Pie Crust Cookies I’m happy to introduce you. They are small crunchy cookies with three delicate layers of textured fabulousness. No matter what filling you choose, the bottom of each cookie starts with a super flaky, buttery pie crust base, covered by a smushy middle flavor layer, and then each is topped with tender, crumbly streusel. And the options are just genius.

The Triple Berry is tangy and mild. The Pecan has a smidge of salt but is rich and gooey. And the Chocolate is perfectly sweet and slightly fudgy.

I could not even dream of having to pick a favorite– each of the cookies I sampled were truly outstanding and I can’t wait to go back and try the rest. Pie Crust Cookies are a great treat, party favor, housewarming present, corporate giftable, and obviously they make an amazing snack.

If you weren’t sure that a cookie could change your life, now you know, cause Janie’s Life-Changing Baked Goods certainly live up to their hype. In the famous words of The Mothership, “Since when do you have to be hungry to have a cookie?” So true, Ma. Janie’s cookies are most definitely Jen’s Little Black Book-Worthy. And far far more tasty than the Salad Cookies I’ve been offered lately. I do believe that I’m officially a convert.

I’m dishing it out each week in my newest feature, SnackTime With Jen cause everyone I know just loooves a little snack. Especially me.
