Welcome to my newest feature, SnackTime With Jen. Shorter than my long format storytelling blog, this midweek morsel is a small taste of something fun. Topics range from food (of course) to fashion and amusing little discoveries both locally and abroad. Think product reviews, restaurant recommendations, and a variety of interesting intel you’ll be tempted to share. So let’s get snacking…

If you’re a lover of chicken fingers like yours truly, you’re going to go clucking mad for the Crispy Chicken Tenders at Brine located at 106 8th Avenue in Chelsea. These plump babies are brined and then marinated in chili-seasoned buttermilk before they are coated in a special seasoned flour and fried. The crunch when you take your first bite will shake you to your core. Brine offers a variety of dipping sauces, but let’s cut to the chase and just pick the Blackened Chili Garlic. Not a garlic fan? (No judgement.) The Buttermilk Green or Buttermilk Red will do you proud. The menu also presents crinkle fries, salads, and sandos… but you’re crazy if you don’t put five of your fingers around at least one of theirs.

I’m calling fowl play on all other chicken joints and voting these fingers into Jen’s Little Black Book Hall Of Fame. Definitely worth crossing Eighth Avenue for!
